Sherm and I are taking a little four day RTE (ride to eat). We are heading to Hatch, NM for some hatch chili relleno's. We will meet up in Springerville for the night then head to Hatch tomorrow. My beginning route is taking me up the Salt River Canyon a very scenic road. When the museum is open, the above is flowing water and is called the Hard Labor Falls.

This is the worlds smallest Museum as seen on Arizona Highways

If you could see where the old road went, you'd love the tunnel for sure.

One of several bridges over canyons on the way to Globe

The rock slabs are shiny and smooth from the monsoon torrent's.

Exposed rock from cutting the highway is pretty

One of many large mines in the Miami Globe area.

This image is brought to courtesy of road construction. Had to do something while waiting.

These next few are dropping down into the canyon

I could see this little community from Highway 60 about 20 miles from my destination. I had some time to kill so I rode the few miles off the path to get there. It is quite obvious that it is a Morman settlement, but not all of them are.
Probably most from the looks of things

Definitely Indian country.
