These guys launched, started paddling aggressively then five minutes later they were loading up and heading out.



Most attractions along the coast are closed due to covid. At least the beauty of the beach is still intact.

Not sure if the sport fishing guys are taking folks out yet, but the commercial guys are still working.

This gal was taking a selfie from inside the Devils Punch Bowl. I kept waiting for a sneaker wave to get her but she made it out. I'm ashamed that I was disappointed.

They call them Seagulls but I've seen them as far inland as the Icefields Parkway in Alberta, Canada





A lot of surfers today, no waves.



Pelicans are much better fishermen than I am.

I think this paddle boarder will have more luck than the surfers.

Mysterious crop circles on the beach.

Suspected to be mad by land squid in the early morning hours.

At one time Mo's had the best clam chowder on the beach. Today, it is barely average at best.

My son, shopper, chef, and grill-master prepared a fantastic meal this day!

It's always fun to take a few minutes to watch the wind surfers on the Columbia in the Dalles/Rowena area.

Always room for new technology. These guys all seem to have hydrofoils under their boards now.

All kinds of propulsion. Sails, flying wings, hand held sails.


A lot of power is generated on the Columbia.
Must be a lot of water this year. This water is being spilled without going across the turbines.


Looking back from where I came is mount Hood.

The Bridge over the Columbia at Vantage, WA A couple of days ago there was a hole in it that a car fell into but not through. Then a Harley guy rode off the bridge in the corner because he was going too fast. BTW, I've taken that corner at double what the Harley guy was doing and had no trouble making it. :)

I don't know how many times I've seen this heard of stallions run right up to the edge and then stop dead and wait for me to take their picture.

A couple of Honda's at the Hon Dah Some mild Wild Life Enjoying their home on the range. The Little Colorado River originates about 15 or 20 miles from this little town of Greer, AZ. There are several of these little scrub cabins here in Greer. I think they are just some old trapper cabins from the 1800's It is apparent that the firefighters were really working hard to protect them from being lost to the Wallow Fire. In spite of their efforts, many were lost. It's hard to believe that was nine years ago. I might be able to afford to rent this one for a night. Our intended breakfast encounter. I've started working my way back home and decided to ride a couple of new to me roads. This is Hwy 96 and follows the Klamath River for a long ways. It is a very beautiful and scenic road. There wasn't a lot of traffic when I was on it during the week. Big Foot is sick of the mask wearing too! He says no one recognizes him anymore! Road maintenance give a break to take an extra pic or two. Here they are trying to prevent some recurring rock slides They had big Cats pushing the rocks off at the top of the hill. It was fun to watch them come tumbling down.  If you think you're a canyon carver but you really aren't, this road is for you! After finishing Hwy 96 I headed to Ferndale, CA I've only been in and out to Ferndale But after a couple of pics it's on to Petrolia Hmmm, Mark Hicks and I took a road like this once......it didn't end too well! After surfing around for someplace to visit today, I settled on finding a place called Panther Creek Falls. Getting there required crossing over the Columbia River on the Bridge of the gods. The bridge also serves as the Pacific Crest Trails route over the Columbia and not surprisingly is the lowest point on the trail. Not sure what it is about bridges that fascinate me but they do! Following the notorious Honda GPS I have traversed several miles  of luxury gravel already and then it want me to make a left turn here. At the top of that rise, a cat has barred it off so I had to continue on. I actually rode past my destination by a few miles as there is absolutely zero signage. No signage at the trail-head either. Looks pretty steep. It was well groomed Shortcuts not allowed The falls were great, but the view from the bottom would be much better.
